Jessica Halper is a New York based researcher and advocate in food and health policy. She has a masters degree in global health nutrition from the University of London: London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an associate's degree in the culinary arts. Her research and programming work has focused on childhood obesity and chronic disease prevention, the socioeconomic determinants of health inequalities and the role of industry in nutrition policies and practices. Prior to her transition into public health, she worked as chef at Annisa restaurant and Gramercy Tavern.
